Fit for the King is a fun and engaging wellness initiative that nurtures women’s physical, spiritual, and mental health through accessible, joy-filled programs. As Romans 12:1 reminds us, when we “offer [our] bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God,” we are living in a way that honors Him—and that is exactly the heart behind this initiative. From movement challenges to devotional check-ins, we’re creating space for every woman to grow strong in body, mind, and faith— with plenty of encouragement. Join us to live the F.I.T. L.I.F.E., embracing a lifestyle that is truly “fit for the King”!
Each Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., we walk! We meet at a different place each week and walk for about 20-25 minutes (at your own pace)!
Walking with the Lamb is a GREAT way to start your day!
For the whole month of April, we'll be sharing information and tips to help you grow in your faith and build strength to help your body become more flexible! We have a great month of activities, challenges, and FUN planned, so follow along on the WOW Fit for the King Facebook page and take the challenge.
Fit Life Labs are hands-on, purpose-driven sessions designed to strengthen the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—through practical learning and meaningful connection. This month, we’re incorporating Hammer Art, using elements of nature to create beautiful, handmade cards as a creative and restorative activity. Each card will then be shared to encourage others, turning self-care into an outward expression of kindness and impact. Email Sheila Farr to register: sheila@wowcommunity.org
We finally found our movement groove and so we are SET! Join us the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. for gentle stretching followed by an energetic (at your own pace) Praise and Move Session! It's one part movement, another part praise and 100% GOOD FOR YOU!
Great for ALL ages and fitness levels!
We'll meet April 28th at 4 pm in the Regions Room at the Knight Nonprofit Center!
On Sunday afternoon, April 12th, let's meet up at Handsboro Baptist Church at 3 p.m. We'll load up our bikes and caravan over to Logtown, MS for a leisurely (and joy-filled) afternoon ride. This one is just for the ladies, so come have some fun with your WOW Sisters!
